Testimony in brief

I was born and brought up in a believers' family. My parents were converted from Hindu background. I'd participated in all church activities from childhood and read the Bible regularly but was not saved. I always thought I was good since I was not committing any practical sins. But I lacked the assurance that I would go to heaven when I died.

Oneday, I was convicted by Romans 3:23, that all are sinners whether we commit sins or not! I confessed that I was a sinner and accepted the Lord Jesus to come into my heart and be my Saviour and Lord. And took water baptism on 7th Nov 1976. I was 17 yrs old, studying 11th class. I got assurance and peace that God saved me and I was born again. Though there was no dramatic change, I had the inner witness and felt close to God.

God began to use me to teach the Word in the Assembly of believers and among the youth and students. I loved the Bible and was very interested in the ministry. But I planned to study well and work and do the ministry using my money. I got the opportunity to study Theology in an international Bible school but did not commit to full-time ministry.

I got a job as a Scientifc Officer in a Chemical Company near Mumbai in 1982. While working I was involved int he ministry. Oneday, God saved me form a dangerous accident and thus made me to think about the value and purpose of life. God called me to surrender my life for His work and He promised to take care of me. He showed me the need to reach the unreached people in India. After waiting in prayer and seeking confirmation in other ways, I resigned to the job and came out with empty hands in 1985.

The way of the cross began with my mother and sisters disagreeing with me. I ha dgone without nay food and money for several days in Mumbai. I was sharing the gospel to anybody and everybody, on roads, in the trains, buses, gardens, beaches, and slums. Many souls were won and discipled. I depended on the Lord to provide for my daily needs and the Lord wonderuflly sustained me, lifted me up. I went through severe trials and testings. I was tempted and faced failures in many ways. I moved from place to place for accommodation. I encountered opposition and discouragement from Christian leaders. Yet I had such a zeal to serve the Lord, nothing could stop me. The Lord conforted and encouraged me.

I has the privilege to preach in various churches, spceial meetings, youth semianrs, family camps, etc in Mumbai. The Lord helped me to organise, sponsor and train leaders/pastors from all over India on how to make disciples. The Lord took me to leadership conferences, training programs and for speaking in global meetings in other countries.

In 1993, church-planting started among the north Indians in a remote village area in Thane near Mumbai. In spite of persecution and opposition, souls were won and a small church is growing.

The vision is based on Colossians 1:28-29, to present each one perfect in Christ. and on 1 Cor.3, to make quality disciples. Matthew 28:18-20.

My renewed vision is now to rebuild the ruined altars of worship, fellowhsip and ministry, in the Christian world today. I live and serve the Lord by faith, without taking any salary or remuneration. The commitment I made when I left my job was not to ask anybody for or tell anybody of, my needs. The Lord has been faithful in providing more abundantly for all my needs. He is enabling me to use what He has given me in His work. To Him be all glory always and in everything. Ac. 20:24.
