Every human being needs love. It has been said that a man can live for weeks without food, between three and four days without water and about eight minutes without air; but he can not survive without love. Nothing can do greater damage to a human life than withholding of love. As Poet Robert Browning said,' take away love, and our earth is a tomb '.

Inside every human being is a desire to be loved, to be cherished, and to be valued. This is one part of us that most reflects the image of God-the inherent desire for relationship with a being other than you.

Defining Love is like defining water. You cant until you've experienced it. And real Love is the sweetest thing on earth. The word 'Love almost defies definition. In the Greek language the one used for unconditional or complete love (agape) is the one used to denote God's love And so, we come to see that the kind of love that God has and gives, and expects of us, is a love that is total. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. (1 Jn 3:16).

God is Love. It is the very essence of His being. But His love is dangerous thing. Misunderstand it, and we will misunderstand Him. Reject it. and we ourselves will be eternally rejected. For we were made to live and relate to God's love. What the world really needs is not more love but God's kind of love. One thing we can be sure of, in Jesus Christ, God's love for us was made real.
