What the Lord Jesus said about Riches, Wealth, Prosperity & Success? (According to St. Matthew)

1. The Price of human life: Is more than all the riches & glory of the world. Matthew 16: 26. Is more precious than that of birds and otehr living things: Mat. 10:29,31.

2. The Purpose of life: Is higher than just making a living: 8: 22 (doing the common things); 9: 9; 4:19. about making investments here: 6:129,20. enjoying the world: Luke 16:19, 25.

3. The Primary needs to be met: Are not only the physical but also spiritual: 4:4; 6:33; 10:9,10; 11:28; Luke 12:23.

4. The Priority in life: Must be to seek His Kingdom & Righteousness: 6:33; Luke 12:31.

Regarding- Investing: 6:20; 13:44,45-46; 19:21; Lk. 12: 16-21. Work/ Service: Lk. 2:49. Repentance: Lk.16:30; 19:8. Saving the soul: 16:26; Lk 19:9,10. Giving to God: 26:13. Character: 23:23. To see Jesus: Lk19: 2,3.
Hearing His words: Lk.10:42;16:29,31. Following Jesus: 5:27,28.

5. The Place of the Heart: Is where your treasure is! Isaiah 26:3. The treasures & wealth are intimately connected with man's heart. They can not be separated-they go together- either for God or for self or for the world: 6:21,24; 9:9; 12:35; 19:21,22; Lk. 12:34; 6:45; 18:22,23. But can not serve both- God and mammon! But can serve God with mammon: Lk. 16:13.

6. The Possessions are accountable: to God and man: 18:23-34; 25:14-34. 12:34-37. Lk. 12:20-21; 16:10-12;12:48. We are accountable for all we possess, whether small or big. First we must use and account for what is given to us before expecting more.

7. The Plenty Promised: to those who ask. God gives abundantly when we ask: 7:7,8. Lk.11:8-9.

8. The Proportionate Giving to God: brings back multiplied blessings in proportion. 6:4; 10:42; 13:8; 14:15-21; 16:27; 19:29; Lk.18:29-30. Giving to God and others increases your account: 4:9,10. It is worshipping God. 5:42; 6:4; 7:12; 9:9; 10:8; 10:42; Lk. 6:38,34-35; 6:30; 21:3-4.

9. The Portion for God and Man: must be distinguished and distributed: 17: 24-27; 22:17-21; Lk. 20:25.

10. The Procedure for Giving: we must know how to give, to whom and what to give, and how much to give. In the same way we recieve-even more: 7:2,12. 7:6; 13:12; 20:2-16; 5:16. What we recieved freely, we must give freely: 10:8. We must give the best things to God first: 23:23.

"But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19.
