Some people believe in God. Others don't. When
it comes right down to everyday life...
What Difference Does It Make-
With God or Without God?

* Life on this planet is just a happy accident, a cosmic fluke.
You are born, you live, ou die. On the timetable of the universe,
yu're just a momentary pinpoint spark, too brief to be noted.
So, live while yu can. Enjoy yourself because this is all there
is; when you're dead there's nothing but a long, dark night.
|
|
* Every living
thing on this big blue marble gliding through space was created
out of the word of the Master Artist, fixed in its place for a purpose.
You, too, have a purpose- one that goes far beyond this temporary
life. God, the creator, wants to show you your purpose; He wants
you to know Him as He knows you- personally, intimately, lovingly.
He wants you to be with Him in perfect peace now and forever. |
| * All religion is salve
for man's uneasy conscience, a lubricant for social progress. You
have to forget about some all-seeing, all-knowing supernatural force
and just get on with business. If the world is in a mess, it's up
to us to fix it and make right- all the best and most noble intentions
won't help. You have to learn that you are responsible for your
own life, your own heaven or hell-it's whatever you make it. |
|
* There is Someone who cares
what happens to yu and to your world. he is closer than a brother
and wants to help you grow and become all that you be, all that
you were ever meant to be, Jesus listens when you speak to Him,
He hears your deepest thoughts, your innermost longings and He wants
you to know that no matter what happens He will be with you. Your
struggles are not in vain-He already has prepared a place for you,
and a reward beyond description. |
| * Jesus was a good man and
a great teacher. He pointed to a better way to live - the same way
that Buddha, Mohammed, Confucius, and other enlightened men have
done. These men, and others like them, arise in every age to bring
a message of hope and love for their time, helping mankind evolve
to its full potential. |
|
* Jesus distinctly set HImself
apart from any other person who ever lived. He was killed for His
teaching by the religious establishment of His day, yet He rose
again to live forever. No other leader of any of the world's religions
has done that, or ever will. His teaching is not merely a message
of hope and love, but is the cure for a death-dealing disease:sin.
He alone has the power to save men from sin and death because He
conquered both. |
| * There is no absolutes--whether
you're right or wrong depends on the situation you're in. Actually,
anything can be justified if the circumstances demand it. People
should not be blamed for things they do when the situation is beyond
their control--you have to do what you think is right at the time.
No one has the authority to sit in judgement over anyone else. |
|
* Jesus has the authority
to sit in judgement over all. He was subjected to the same pressures
and temptations as any person and never gave in. He is a true judge,
and He is also a friend who is really concerned that you learn to
live the right way. His laws must be obeyed, but because He is infinitely
more concerned with creating new people than with punishing offenders,
He stands ready to forgive every mistake. And because He knows how
hard it is, He has given His Spirit to help you make it through. |
